In December, the first render images of the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro surfaced online, revealing some details about Huawei's new flagship duo in the future. However, these renders did not reveal the full design of the device on both sides. Recently, 91mobiles has shared renders showing both the front and back of the Huawei P40.
From the images, we can see that the Huawei P40 will have a main camera on the back that will significantly protrude, similar to its sibling P40 Pro. The camera cluster still has three cameras arranged vertically, but is mounted with an LED flash inside a rectangular module. Besides the camera cluster, there is also a "LEICA" logo, showing that Huawei continues to work with LEICA, the high-end camera brand, to optimize the camera sensors of the P40 series.
Moving to the front, we can easily see that the device will have a punch-hole display with a dual selfie camera cluster being located in the upper left corner. It seems that this year's screen trend will be the punch-hole design instead of the "waterdrop" display of last year, even some manufacturers have abandoned the pop-up selfie camera and switch to this design (like OPPO with the Oppo Reno 3 and Redmi with the Redmi K30). The bottom edge of the Huawei P40 will be where the speaker strip and USB-C charging port are placed.
At the moment, not too much information about this smartphone is revealed. The only information we know about Huawei P40 is that the device will be equipped with HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G chipset. In terms of camera, its triple camera cluster will probably include a wide-angle camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 3D ToF camera. Regarding software, the device will run on Android 10 with EMUI 10 interface, of course, it will not come with Google services and will only be sold in limited markets, including China.
Huawei is expected to launch the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro in March, but we are not sure whether the brand will bring these two smartphones to India or not.
