Huawei P30 Series Was Up For Sale Today, Sold Out In Just 10 Seconds

Today, users can start pre-ordering the newly-launched Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro in the Chinese market and 10 second was how long the first flash sale lasted. According to Huawei, it managed to grab a revenue of 200 million CNY (around Rs. 206.46 crores) from this campaign with around 30,000 to 50,000 devices sold.
To recall, the Huawei P30 is priced from 3,988 CNY (around Rs. 41,200) for the option with 8GB RAM/64GB of storage. You can pay an extra of 300 CNY (around Rs. 3,100) for the 6GB RAM/128GB of storage. The top end variant with 8GB RAM/256GB of storage is priced at 4,788 CNY (around Rs. 49,400).
As for the Huawei P30 Pro, it is priced between 5,488 CNY to 6,788 CNY on Huawei’s e-store called Vmall. The company offers a free tripod selfie stick for the first 3,000 buyers who pre-order the handset.
Another Chinese retailer called Tmall also revealed interesting information about the sale. From 27 March which is the launch date of the Huawei P30 series, more than 3.2 million users have searched for the two phones, and 60 percent of them are female.
Huawei P30 & P30 Pro: Specifications & Features
On the front, both of the phone sport an FHD+ AMOLED panel with a water-drop notch on top housing a selfie camera. While the P30 Pro comes with a large 6.47-inch screen, the display on the P30 is 6.1 inches in size.
Moving to the camera front, the P30 comes with triple rear cameras, which are a 40 MP SuperSensing Sony IMX600 sensor with custom RYB color filter for better low-light photography. There are also a 16MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 lens and an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto lens with 3X zoom. Up front, it comes with a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens.
As for the Huawei P30 Pro, it sports quad cameras, including a 40MP SuperSpectrum sensor with an f/1.6 aperture. The sensor is paired with a 20MP ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a ToF 3D camera. On the front, it also comes with a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture just like the Huawei P30. Both phones can record videos at 4K resolution, and 60fps along with other camera features such as slow-mo, time-lapse, and dual-view mode that you can take both a zoom shot and an ultra-wide angle video.
Under the hood, they are both powered by the Kirin 980 SoC with support for dual-NPU for quicker image recognition. To ensure the P30 duo not to overheat, Huawei goes for a graphene film cooling system on both of them. As for software, the two run the latest Android 9.0 Pie with Huawei’s EMUI 9.1 on top.
Powering the P30 is a 3,650mAh cell while the P30 Pro packs a larger 4,250mAh battery with support for 40W SuperCharge fast charging standard. They are also included reverse wireless charging and 15W wireless charging. It is sad that Huawei doesn’t include its 55W fast charging tech on the two phones but opts for the 40W fast charging technology instead.
