Due to the US ban, the Chinese giant Huawei has expected a significant drop in sales. However, it appears the Huawei P30 series is still doing great since it has just enjoyed a record sales since its launch in March.
The company has just announced in a press release that its P30 series recently reached 10 million devices sold in just 85 days after its March launch. When comparing the figure of the P30 series to that of its predecessor P20 series, it is even more shocking.
"The time we took to reach 10 million unit sales (for the P30 series) is 62 days less than that for P20 series," said President of Huawei's smartphone product line Kevin Ho. That's a huge jump compared to the P20 series that launched last year which also achieved great results.
It took the Huawei P20 Pro 4 weeks to become the best-selling phone in Western Europe in the company's history. The Huawei P20 Pro also outsold its predecessor P10 Plus in the market by 316 percent after one month.
That is not all – The Chinese phone maker also announced that it has reached 100 million SuperCharge products shipped. That includes power banks, smartphones, and charger that support its fast charging technology. It is undoubtedly true that the company has had a massive momentum this year, but the unexpected US trade ban will inevitably result in a significant sales drop. In fact, Ren Zhengfei, Huawei founder, confirmed that the brand expects its international phone sales to drop by 40%.
The reason behind the P30 series success is simply because they are excellent phones. The Huawei P30 Pro should contribute the most to this record sales with its outstanding performance, excellent camera quality in both daylight and lowlight conditions. In the same year, its Huawei Watch GT also broke a sales record since its October launched with more than 2 million units sold.
