Just being introduced for even less than a day, the Huawei P30 Pro has already topped the chart in DxoMark ranking. 3 points higher than the Huawei P20 Pro, Mate 20 Pro, and the newly-announced Galaxy S10+, which are all staying at 109 points, the Huawei P30 Pro is the new king in DxOMark ranking with a massive score of 119 points in photography segment.

The impressive score of the Huawei P30 Pro is mostly due to the high-quality bokeh and zoom rendering which are relying on the 3D Time-of-Flight sensor and the 125mm periscope camera.

Huawei equips the P30 Pro with the best zoom camera you can get in the smartphone market. Besides the periscope design, the super-resolution technology that combines information from the primary and zoom cameras to achieve intermediate zoom levels also works wonder. For now, the P30 Pro is on another league of its own.
For low-light photography, it has a 40MP primary sensor that excels at it. It renders good details as well as keeps the noise low in every lighting condition (from backlit to low-light conditions). Similarly, the flash and autofocus were tested to be nothing short of excellent.
Additionally, its bokeh rendering is also top-notch. The ToF sensor offers accurate and smooth blurring of the background and the super-resolution is again used to achieve 2x magnification which is better for portraits.
However, its cameras are still not perfect. Colour rendering still needs some improvement while the dynamic has also shrunk a bit since the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
As mentioned, the P30 Pro scored 97 in the video segment which is also in the top positions. However, it is still not the best as it has the same score as the Mate 20 Pro and 1 point lower than the Huawei P20 Pro. The combination of Electronic and Optical image stabilization helps to record video more steady and also the phone offers a good video quality in low-light conditions. It also has issues with the colour rendering.

As for the 32MP front camera on the P30 Pro, it scored 89 points which is much better than that of the P20 Pro with 72 points and Mate 20 Pro with 75 points. Thought it is still significantly behind the dual camera selfie on the Galaxy S10+ with 96 points.
The selfie camera delivers a great low-light photography as well as dynamic range. Its bokeh mode is also good, despite being rendered from only one camera with no other hardware. Moreover, even though the camera has a 32-megapixel resolution, the levels of detail it offers is only acceptable.
