The Chinese tech giant, Huawei has invited media outlets to its launch of the P30 series smartphones. However, only the affordable P30 Lite and the flagship P30 Pro are being unveiled in the Indian market on 9 April since Huawei seeks to consolidate the market portfolios by choosing suitable devices for each market. And while the Huawei P30 Pro flagship features a quad rear camera setup, the Huawei P30 Lite smartphone is lighter and smaller as well as offered at a more affordable price tag.
Huawei P30 Pro
A highlight of the P30 Pro is the impressive zoom capability due to its quad rear camera setup and four innovative pixel array sensors. Particularly, the camera setup has a 40MP camera which was co-developed by Huawei and Sony. Other modules are an 8MP telephoto sensor, a 20MP super wide angle sensor and a 3D ToF sensor which adds AR abilities to the handset and supports portrait mode.
In addition, the Huawei P30 Pro comes with Kirin 980 SoC under the hood, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, a modest configuration for a flagship today. Also, the device sports a 6.47-inch Full HD+ screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. On the front, the P30 Pro features a 32MP selfie camera. Powering it is a battery with a capacity of 4,200mAh. It is known that the handset runs Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. In terms of the pricing, the P30 Pro is expected to be priced at Rs. 70,000 at launch on 9 April.
Huawei P30 Lite
The P30 Lite is considered as an upgraded version of the Nova 4e. It is powered by Kirin 710 chipset, paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The device sports similar display resolution and screen aspect ratio like the Nova 4e, but its display size is smaller, 6.15 inches, which helps it have better pixel density and more compact to hold.
On the back, the phone features three cameras including a 24MP sensor, an 8MP sensor and a 2MP sensor. Also, it sports a 32MP selfie camera on the front. The handset runs Android 9 Pie at launch and is powered by a battery with a capacity of 3,340mAh. The Huawei P30 Lite is expected to come with the price tag of under Rs. 30,000.
