The launch event of Huawei on 26 March in Paris is getting very close. Huawei is expected to announce the new duo in the Huawei P flagship series, Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro, at the event. Ahead of the launch, the Huawei P30 Pro was spotted on the benchmarking platforms AnTuTu and Geekbench. The listings on those platforms suggest the key specifications of the upcoming Huawei flagship.
Previous reports already revealed that the upcoming P30 Pro that is coming to Europe has model number VOG-L29 and now a device with the same model number has been spotted on AnTuTu and Geekbench. The listing on Geekbench suggests that the Huawei P30 Pro will come with 8GB RAM and run the latest Android 9.0 Pie. With the Huawei’s Kirin 980 SoC, the P30 Pro achieved a score of 3,289 in the single-core test and 9,817 points in the multi-core test. These benchmarking scores show that this smartphone will have similar performance to other flagship devices with the Huawei’s Kirin 980 SoC like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
As for the listing on AnTuTu platform, the P30 Pro (model number VOG-L29) scored 286,152 in average, which is slightly lower than that of the Honor View 20, Honor Magic 2, and Huawei Mate 20 lineup which all have scores of over 300,000 points. The possible reason for the low benchmark scores might be because the VOG-L29 listed on AnTuTu is only a pre-production unit.
The listing further confirmed that the P30 Pro will come with a Huawei’s Kirin 980 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage. Up front, the P30 Pro’s display will have a FHD+ resolution (1,080 x 2,340p). AnTuTu also revealed on its post on Weibo that the handset will come with a 32MP selfie camera and 40MP main sensor at the back of the phone.
Other details were also revealed on some previous reports such as the phone will have an OLED panel with a dewdrop notch on top. As for security, it will feature an on-screen fingerprint sensor, quad rear camera system, 10x hybrid zoom, and support for 40W fast charging.
