The Chinese giant debuted its Huawei P10 lineup at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona while the smartphones on the Huawei P20 lineup was introduced at another event held in Paris. Now the next series and successor to the P20 lineup, the Huawei P30, and Huawei P30 Pro, are expected to be introduced in the MWC 2019 held in Barcelona from 25 to 28 February. However, the exact release date is not yet revealed.
As said on MyDrivers, the Chinese phone maker will likely to showcase the much anticipated 5G tech, IoT (Internet of Things) solutions, and more. The IoT solutions might include shared bicycles, door locks, and several other things. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro was the first phone to sport a triple camera setup on the rear, and with the upcoming P30 Pro, the Chinese company will most likely add an additional sensor on the back. And the standard P30 variant is said to feature a triple camera setup on the rear.
In terms of design, there are also some design changes that we have been expecting. While the smartphones on the P20 lineup came with notched displays, the ones on the P30 series might sport water-drop notched displays. Furthermore, previous reports also claim that these P30 smartphones will come packed with 5X or even 10X lossless zoom capabilities and also a Xenon flash.
Besides a triple and a quad camera systems on the rear, the Huawei P30 lineup might also sport a 24MP selfie camera with Facial recognition capability. There are also high possibilities that these devices will come with in-display fingerprint sensors, similar to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
He has also received leaks suggesting that the Huawei’s HiSilicon 990 processor has support for 5G connectivity, but there is also a minimal possibility that the upcoming P30 series could bear the 5G connectivity. On the software department, the P30 phones might run the Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9 out of the box.
