Not coming with top-notch hardware specifications like its two siblings, the Huawei P30 Lite still shines on its own with a high quality camera setup compared to its competitors in the mid-range smartphones. To be more specific, the handset sports a triple camera setup stacked vertically, including a 24MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, a 16MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor.
Up front, it also comes with a 32MP selfie camera just like the Huawei P30 duo with many beauty algorithms promised to deliver high selfie photos. As for the design, it still comes with the overall design language of the Huawei P30 series with a 6.31-inch FHD+ panel with a water-drop notch on top as well as gradient glass back panel. Because it is launched in the mid-range segment, it doesn’t come with an in-display fingerprint sensor, but instead, it still has a rear-mounted one.
Powering the phone is a Kirin 710 SoC which was already available on the last year’s Huawei Nova 3i, paired with 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage. It will be backed by a 3,340mAh cell with support for 18W fast charging tech via a USB Type-C port.
Unlike its siblings, the Huawei P30 Lite still has an audio jack at the bottom along with a speaker grill. Despite having an unimpressive SoC, the P30 Lite is still a very solid choice for people who love to take photos with its amazing camera setup.
For now, the pricing of the phone is still only revealed for the African and Vietnamese markets. The retailer price for the P30 Lite via African retailers is 5,499 rand (around Rs. 26,300) while according to Huawei Vietnam spokesperson, it will come to Vietnam for 7.49 million VND (around Rs. 22,200). It is already up for pre-ordering in Vietnam from today whereas it is tipped to up for sale via online channels in Africa today and in-store purchases will be up from this Thursday.
