Before Huawei announced the Huawei Nova 5i alongside the Nova 5 & Nova 5 Pro in June, many reports hinted towards one more model dubbed Nova 5i Pro. However, it didn’t happen as only three phones were announced at the event.
Later, a schematic diagram from the Nova 5i Pro’s manual surfaced line and confirmed its existence once again. Now, promo materials of the handset have also just popped up online, revealing its key details such as launch date, price, specs, and more.
The upcoming Nova 5i Pro will sport a 6.26-inch display with FHD+ resolution, and a punch hole on the top-left corner for housing a selfie camera. Its screen has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.7 percent and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Placed inside the punch hole is a 32MP selfie camera.
At the back, it seems the handset will feature a similar camera module to the Mate 20 Pro. However, instead of three cameras, the Nova 5i Pro will make use of a quad camera setup. It is said to include a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth unit. Under the camera module is a fingerprint reader.
Powering the handset will be the recently-announced Kirin 810 SoC instead of the Kirin 710F seen on the Nova 5i. Paired with the processor are 8GB RAM and 128/256GB of storage. There will be a 4,000 mAh battery with 20W fast charging support. The brand claims that the handset can refill 50% juice in just 30 minutes and 100% in 90 minutes.
It will be available in three colour variants - Midnight tBlack, Emerald, and Aurora. Its rear seems to have a 3D curve, but we can’t confirm whether it is plastic or glass.
The specs of the Nova 5i Pro is in line with those of the Huawei SPN-TL00 and SPN-ALL previously listed on TENAA. They were said to be variants of the upcoming Huawei Mate 30 Lite. If it is to be believed, the Nova 5i Pro will make its way to the global market as Huawei Mate 30 Lite.
