Huawei has just announced its new Huawei Nova 5 series at a launch event in its home country China. The Nova 5 lineup includes Huawei Nova 5i, Huawei Nova 5, and Huawei Nova 5 Pro. However, the company was said to keep going as there might be another model in the series dubbed Huawei Nova 5i Pro as it was spotted on a website of a Chinee retailer ahead of its launch with photos, but that did not happen, and it seems like those photos were even wrong.
The photos on the website of a retailer showed that the upcoming Huawei Nova 5i Pro might feature a conventional notch and a fingerprint scanner at the back. You can also see from the images that the phone will have a dual camera setup on both the front and back. However, the latest schematic of the handset posted by well-known leakster Evan Blass gives us a different look at the phone.
As per the image, the Nova 5i Pro will come with a quad rear camera setup just like the two Nova 5 phones. It will also sport a hole punch display on the front and a fingerprint reader at the back. However, the rear camera module of the 5i Pro will be different from those of the Nova 5 series. Its quad camera will be placed in a square module similar to what we have seen on the Huawei Mate 20 series. We also see that the volume rocker and the power button are placed in the right spine of the handset while it seems like there will be an audio jack and a USB port at the bottom.
These are all still rumors and we can’t really confirm any of it at the moment. We also don’t know whether it will make its debut. However, considering it carries the “Pro” moniker, it is likely that the phone will feature better specifications than the Huawei Nova 5i.
