While the China-based Huawei is gearing up to unveil its new Mate 30 series, a mysterious Huawei smartphone has just passed through benchmark platform Geekbench. The phone was listed with model number Huawei NLE-AL00, the latest Android 10, and Huawei’s latest chipset, the Kirin 990. The chipset was recently announced at the IFA 2019 event earlier in the month. It will be offered in two different models, one of which will support 5G network. The first smartphones to feature the Kirin 990 will most likely be the forthcoming Huawei Mate 30 series.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Huawei NLE-AL00 will ship with Android 10 out of the box and pack 8GB RAM. It is powered by a HiSilicon chipset with eight processing cores and it is believed to be the Kirin 990 SoC.
As for the scores, the handset gets 3,842 and 11,644 in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. However, these scores can’t really tell the exact performance of the phone since the brand might have several tweaks before releasing it.

The company hasn’t mentioned anything about this mysterious phone yet. However, as mentioned, it is about to announce the Mate 30 series in just a few days. It also previously confirmed that this new series will be driven by the new Kirin 990 chipset. Moreover, it also claims that the 5G model of the HiSilicon 990 chipset will carry the most powerful 5G system on a chip in the world along with the most powerful 5G modem to support the network.
According to GizmoChina’s report, this model will belong to neither the Huawei Mate 30 nor Mate 30 Pro. It might be the Huawei Mate 30 X or a new offering from its sub-brand Honor, the Honor Vera 30.
As mentioned, we can’t really confirm the exact name of this phone, so you should take it with a grain of salt.
