Huawei is working on an upgraded version of the Huawei Mate X foldable phone with different internals and specifications.

After the South Korean tech giant Samsung had to revoke the Galaxy Fold flagship and re-engineer various things to make the phone more durable, its rival Huawei also delayed the release of the Huawei Mate X. It is expected that this first foldable phone from Huawei will debut in November.

In case you want to know what the Chinese phone maker has changed its foldable device to warrant such a long time passing before the official release, it seems like that the phone did not just have the change in its design like the Galaxy Fold. Instead, the device is expected to be upgraded some of its internals.

Accordingly, the device will be powered by a Kirin 990 chipset under the hood, which is similar to the Huawei Mate 30 series smartphones. In addition, the foldable phone also has a new camera arrangement that looks like the Huawei Mate 20. However, the phone will feature an improved rear camera module, identical to Huawei P30 Pro. Furthermore, the primary sensor of the handset should use RYYB to replace RGB.
