It is believed that Huawei’s Mate X foldable phone will make it to the market in September. The phone did have a previous launching plan before but after the incident with Samsung Galaxy Fold, Huawei thought that was best to test the foldable phone more before releasing it.

According to CNBC, Huawei decided to be more cautious after all the problems the Galaxy Fold faces, including one that broke the phone's screen, which resulted in Samsung retrieving all sample phones and delaying the launch date indefinitely.

Huawei is conducting more tests on its foldable phone before launching it globally. The Mate X has 5G support so the company will focus on regions that have already had 5G networks.
This information was confirmed by Vincent Pang, a Huawei’s executive. He said that Huawei's foldable phone would be launched in any country with 5G.

The Galaxy Fold is released with a 4G LTE. The company did mention a 5G version but it has never had an official price.
Pang said that Mate X would be in any country with 5G, but this comes with an exception. Since Huawei’s device is banned in the US, the foldable phone will not make it to this country.
Pang also told us when we may see the launch of the mate X:
He also shared the reason behind the late release of the foldable phone, which is to improve the quality of the phone. In another interview, he said that Huawei was doing lots of tests.
The Huawei Mate X will come at the price of $2,600.
