Huawei is reportedly working on smartphones on the Huawei Mate 30 series that is set to be released sometime Q4 this year. While the Mate 30 Pro is said to sport a 90 Hz screen like the recently-launched OnePlus 7 Pro and a quad camera setup at the back. Going by the history of the Huawei Mate series, it is likely that the Huawei Mate 30 Lite will make its debut at an earlier date than other phones in the series. Moreover, it might launch under a different name in the company’s home market China. Now, as per a fresh report from IT Home, the latest chipset developed by Huawei - Kirin 810 chipset will be in charge of powering the Mate 30 Lite.

The Kirin 810 processor will be paired with the Huawei DaVinci NPU that is based on the Rubik’s Cube Quantitative Stereo Arithmetic Unit. On the front, it might sport a hole-punch display that features a small cutout for housing a 24MP camera. Speculations also point at a display with 6.4 inches in size and 2,310 x 1,080p resolution. At the back, there will likely be quad cameras stacked in a square module that is similar to last year’s Mate 20 series. Under the camera module might be the fingerprint reader.
In terms of memory configuration, the device is expected to come in two options — 6GB of RAM / 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM / 128GB of storage. For software, it might ship with Android 9 Pie out of the box with Huawei’s EMUI on top. Powering the phone is tipped to be a beefy 4,000 mAh battery with support for 20W fast charging. Though Huawei hasn’t mentioned anything about the launch date of the device, the brand is speculated to announce its Mate 30 series in September or October. We will update as soon as we hear more about the series.
