HTC Desire 12s Introduced With Snapdragon 435, 5.7-Inch Display

HTC just introduced its HTC Desire 12s in the Taiwanese market, featuring a Snapdragon 435 SoC, 5.7-inch HD+ display and a 3,075mAh battery.
Surprisingly, the Taiwanese phone maker HTC just announced to launch a new smartphone called HTC Desire 12s which features an identical design of the HTC U12 Life, though, HTC hasn’t said anything about glass so HTC may use a combination of matte and glossy plastic.
HTC Desire 12 was just launched in Taiwan
The HTC Desire 12 will come with a 5.7-inch HD+ display with 2.5D curved glass on top, a resolution 1440 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Its renders may indicate that the HTC handset will not come with a notch display and it will have thin side bezels and decent upper and lower bezels for an entry-level device as well.
The device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 435 along with 3GB RAM/32GB of storage or 4GB RAM/64GB storage and expandable storage via microSD slot. On its back, it looks like a dual rear camera setup there but it is actually a 13-megapixel f2.0 sensor and a LED flash, and there is a 13MP f2.2 sensor with a LED flash on the front as well. The phone will also come with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
HTC hasn't confirmed to launch this handset in other markets
The Desire handset will be packed with a 3,075mAh battery but not support fast charging. It will most likely run Android 8.1 Orea out-of-the-box with Sense UI of HTC on top. It is not sure if the device will get the update to Android 9 Pie in the future. HTC already released the Desire 12 in the Taiwanese market with a total of three variants, including Red, Silver, and Black for $195 (Rs. 13,800) for the option with 3GB RAM/32GB storage and $225 (Rs. 15,900) for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage model.
In terms of connectivity, the Desire 12s supports 4G VoLTE, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth.
HTC still hasn’t confirmed whether it has any plan to release this device outside of Taiwan.
