Honor View 20 With 48MP Camera & Hole-Punch Display Launched

Honor just released the Honor V20 in the Chinese market last month. Now, the Huawei’s sub-brand has released the same phone under the name View 20 in the international markets. The release event held at Paris in which the Chinese phone maker revealed the pricing of the handset. The 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage variant is priced at €569 and €649 is the price for the option with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The international pricing is pretty much the same as the one in the Chinese market.
The Honor View 20 will launch in the Indian market on 29 January, and Honor already allows buyers to pre-order the phone at Amazon.in and Honor store. The View 20 is the world’s first phone to come with a 48-megapixel camera, and it’s also the first Honor phone to come with a hole-punch display.
Honor View 20: Expected Price in the Indian market
In the Chinese market, Honor sets the price of the View 20 at RMB 2,999 (around Rs. 31,400) for the variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and RMB 3,499 (around Rs. 36,200) for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The handset is offered at the same pricing in the European market which may indicate that the Honor View 20 will come to India at the same prices as in China.
If Honor used the same pricing of the phone in India, the Honor View 20 might cost Rs. 31,999 for the base option and Rs. 36,999 for the top-end model.
Honor View 20: Specifications & Features
The display is one of the most notable highlights of the View 20. The phone comes with a hole on its display to house the selfie camera. The hole takes less space compared to regular notches on the screen. For now, there are only a limited number of phones that have this design and the View 20 is among those early phones. Besides the hole, the phone sports a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and an almost bezel-less design.
The handset will come packed with the HiSilicon’s flagship, the Kirin 980 SoC, and Mali-G76 MP10 GPU. The handset will be offered in two variants, including one with 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage and the other with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is expected to run the latest Android 9 Pie with the Magic UI 2 on top. It will be backed by a 4,000 mAh battery under the hood a 22.5W fast charging.
The camera is also another highlight of the Honor View 20. It has a dual rear camera, comprising of a 48MP main sensor and a 3D Time-of-Flight sensor. In addition, Honor View 20 is the world’s first phone to sport a 48-megapixel camera, and it is claimed to offer great photo quality with the 48-megapixel camera. On the front, there will be a 25MP selfie camera.
