A trade ban was imposed on Huawei by the US in May, this ban prohibited US companies from collaborating with Huawei. At the beginning of this July, the US government lifted the ban with several restrictions. Peng stated that the company's smartphones won't be affected by the limited resources from the US caused by the recent ban.
