Honor has posted a teaser video on Weibo to confirm the launch of the Honor 20i in China on 17 April. The video has not showed any significant details about this upcoming phone, beside a dewdrop notch, and a 32MP front-facing camera with AI support. In addition, the company is expected to introduce the MagicBook 2019 notebook on the same date. This notebook is the next-generation model of the MagicBook unveiled in 2018.
While the specs of the upcoming phone are not much revealed, leaks suggest that the Honor 10i introduced in Russia in March could be unveiled as the Honor 20i in the Chinese market. Accordingly, the device is said to sport a 6.2-inch screen with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, the phone is probably powered by a mid-range 2.2GHz Kirin 710 octa-core chipset, paired with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. Additionally, the handset will run EMUI 9.0.1 based on Android 9 Pie at launch. Powering it is a battery with a capacity of 3,200mAh. And it will be available in gradient color options.
In terms of imaging capabilities, the upcoming phone will have a triple camera setup on the back including a 24MP primary camera, an 8MP secondary camera, and a 2MP camera. It is known that the Honor 20 Pro and the Honor 20 have recently been certificated by EEC and will make the debut by the end of this month. Honor, Huawei’s sub-brand, will launch its new MagicBook 2019 as well on the same launch date. Currently, there is no information about the specs of the new notebook, but according to rumours, it will have minor upgrades from 2018.
Since the launch date is getting closer, let’s stay tuned for more information.
