Honor Teases Release Event On 10 December; Likely to Launch Its Honor V20

Honor just released a teaser of its upcoming launch event on 10 December which is rumored to feature the Honor V20 launch.

Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor, just confirmed its launch event on 22 January in Paris. It’s expected that the company will release its Honor View 20 on that event. Similar to previous handsets, the Honor View 20 will most likely be released in the Chinese market before its global launch. Today, the Chinese phone maker has announced on its Weibo page that it will hold a release event on 20 December on Hong Kong.

Many people expect that the upcoming Honor handset will launch in the Chinese market in the name of Honor V20. The night view of Hong Kong is showcased in the big number 3’s background in the poster.

According to some rumors, Honor will be introducing three new technologies at the Hong Kong event. However, these technologies are not yet revealed, but these should be related to Honor smartphones. In fact, Honor is speculated to use all of those new technologies in the upcoming Honor V20.

The upcoming Honor handset has been rumored to feature a FullHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2310 pixels. It’s also expected to sport in-display camera designed display. The device will most likely be powered by the Huawei’s flagship SoC, Kirin 980 SoC.

There are no details about the battery capacity of the phone yet. However, it's expected to support for 22.5W fast charging. The handset is most likely to come with a triple rear camera setup which is rumored to have a ToF 3D stereo third sensor for 3D depth sensing. In fact, the above postal could actually be teasing the “3D camera” feature that may be featured on the Honor V20.

The operating system of this device will be EMUI 9 that is based on Android 9.0 Pie. The releasing date of the Honor V20 on China is speculated to be 27 December at the price of RMB 2,799 (around Rs. 28,720)
