The Honor 9X series had just made its debut in China a few days ago. The series includes the vanilla Honor 9X and the 9X Pro, which have the same displays, batteries, and chipsets. However, while the regular model is available in 4GB / 6GB options, the 9X Pro is packed with an additional 8MP ultra-wide camera on the rear and comes with 8GB RAM.
It seems like the Chinese users have been very excited about this phone as there are more than 100,000 bookings in just 24 hours after Honor announcing the duo. Additionally, Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com also recorded another 100,000 bookings in the same period, increasing the total to more than 200,000. However, it is worth noting that Honor doesn’t charge any fee for pre-ordering the phone, but this number still shows how Chinese users react to these two phones.
The Honor 9X is slated to go on sale in the country on 30 July while the 9X Pro will be up for grabs from 9 August. We are not sure when the duo will hit other markets, including India. We will keep you updated, so stayed tuned.

On the imaging department, while the Honor 9X features a dual-camera system at the rear, the 9X Pro is equipped with triple rear cameras. The setup on the Honor 9X comprises of a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with a 2MP depth unit. Meanwhile, the Honor 9X Pro is packed with an additional 8MP camera with a wide-angle lens.
