Honor 8X Phantom Blue Color Variant Announced At CES 2019, Soon To Launch

Honor is set to launch a new color variant of the Honor 8X with the same specs as the other options and it is called 'Phantom Blue'.

Previously at the Costumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in 2019, Honor released a new gradient of color for its Honor 8X. The smartphone was released in September 2018 and made its way to India later in October. Honor 8X’s appearance never seemed to fail at getting people’s attention, however, the Chinese phone brand still doesn't stop there.

The variant of color, known as “Phantom Blue”, is expected to boost Honor 8X sales globally. Honor’s products are remarkably assisting in bringing Huawei to the top of the smartphone industry.

Even though the new color has been officially announced for the device, Huawei has not yet revealed its price. It is most presumably that the color variant will cost you a little more than its regular counterpart. At present, the phone has already cost 14,999 Rs on Amazon. Initially, the smartphone was released in Blue, Black and Red colors, with mirror-finish and reflective patterns on the back panel.

The new color variant has a dash of dark blue and purple mixing into one another, which is centered around the back panel. The fingerprint sensor comes with a dazzling blue coloring.

As a matter of fact, some portions of the center part even looks dark in color, due to the fact that both colours in this gradient are dark. Even with these new gradients of colors, the device’s camera-side strip remains distinct in its appearance, which is said to be one of Honor 8X’s key design features in its traditional colors. The new Honor 8X new color variant is expected to be released in the first quarter of the year.

There are three memory options for the Honor 8X, including a 4GB of RAM/64GB of storage variant, a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage model and a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage variant. The handset sports a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ IPS LCD display, a dual rear camera setup with a 20MP and 2MP sensors and support for 1080p video recording; and a 16MP front camera.

Under the hood, the handset is powered by a 3,750 mAh battery and the Kirin 710 SoC which is on the same level as the Snapdragon 660 SoC. The handset comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is expected to get Android Pie update in the recent feature as Honor already started testing the software in early December this year.
