Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro and Honor 8C are the two newcomers the Indian smartphone market. While Xiaomi already released its Redmi Note 6 Pro and claimed that they already sold more than 6,00,000 units in its first sale, Honor set to launch its Honor 8C on 29 November.

Both of the smartphones are all priced under Rs. 15,000 which is the price segment which attracts a lot of customers and also competitions. So let take a look at the comparison between these two new phones in terms of specs and price.

While Honor 8C is just about to launch in a few days, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro already got impressive sale figures of 600,000 units in its first sale

Price Honor 8C VS Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro

Price of the Honor 8C:  While the phone’s specs are already revealed, its price in the Indian market is still kept secret. Last month, Honor already launched its Honor 8C in the Chinese market with starting price of CNY 1,099 (Rs. 11,212) for the lowest variant. Based on the Chinese market price of the phone, it is suggested that the phone will probably cost around Rs. 15,000 mark.

With both the phones staying under Rs. 15,000, the Honor 8C and Redmi Note 6 Pro will be competing with each other

Price of the Redmi Note 6 Pro: Xiaomi already launched the phone in the Indian market at the starting price of Rs. 13,999 for the lowest variant of 4GB of RAM/64GB of internal storage, while the highest variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage costs Rs. 15,999.

Camera 

Honor 8C: the phone features a dual camera system with a primary 13MP rear sensor along with a secondary 2MP sensor. It also has a front-facing 8MP sensor with LED flash for taking photos in low-light situations.

Redmi Note 6 Pro: this is the first phone in the Xiaomi Redmi Note series that features 4 cameras with 2 cameras on each of the sides. The phone has a dual camera system with a 12MP sensor and a 5MP sensor on the rear along with a front-facing camera system of a 20MP sensor as well as a 2MP sensor.

Processor, Ram and Operating Software

Honor 8C: The phone sports a Snapdragon 626 SoC along with 4GB RAM as well as 32GB storage, which also allows users to expand via microSD slot (256GB maximum). The phone’s operating software is EMUI 8.2 based on Android Opera 8.1.

Redmi Note 6 Pro: The phone sports a Snapdragon 636 SoC with two variants of 4/6GB RAM and 64GB of storage that can also be expanded via microSD slot (256 maximum). The Xiaomi phone runs MIUI 10 on top of Android Oreo 8.1.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 comes with Snapdragon 636 SoC while the Honor 6 is only powered by a Snapdragon 626 SoC

Display

Honor 8C: The Honor phone features a 6.26-inch HD+ display along with a notch at the top of the screen and 19:9 aspect ratio.

Redmi Note 6 Pro: The Xiaomi phone features a much better display compared to the Honor 8C with 6.26-inch FullHD+ IPS LCD display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch at the top of the screen. The screen is also protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass.

The Redmi Note 6 seems to get an edge in the display aspect

Battery, Sensors

Honor 8C: This Honor phone is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging. In term of sensors, the phone will include e-compass, accelerometer, light sensor, proximity sensor and also a fingerprint scanner mounted on the phone’s rear.

Redmi Note 6 Pro: The Xiaomi phone comes with the same battery as the Honor 8C, 4,000 mAh battery, that support 10W Quick Charge. Xiaomi claims that the Redmi Note 6 Pro battery can help the phone last for up to 2 days.
