Honor 8A Pro With 6.09-Inch Water-Drop Notched Display & Helio P35 SoC Launched

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has just quietly announced a new addition to its mobile portfolio in Russia, dubbed Honor 8A Pro. The phone is said to be an exclusive model for the Russian market of the Honor Play 8A that was already launched in January. The key highlights of the phone are its 6.09-inch display and Helio P35 processor.

Honor 8A Pro: Price
The Honor 8A Pro is expected to be up for sale from today in the Russian market which is the first market Huawei launches the phone. It is priced at 13,990 RUB (around Rs. 14,750). However, Huawei exclusively offers the phone for 10,912 RUB (around Rs. 11,400) just for today.
It will come in two color options, Blue and Black. Huawei hasn’t revealed the availability and pricing of the phone in other markets outside Russia.
Honor 8A Pro: Specs & Features
The handset comes with a 6.09-inch HD+ IPS display with a 1,560 x 720p resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It’s powered by an MTK Helio P35 processor with 3GB RAM, PowerVR GE8320, and 32GB of RAM which is expandable up to 512GB via a microSD slot.

In terms of camera, the handset packs a single 13MP rear shooter with an aperture of f/1.8 and an LED flash. Up front, it has an 8MP selfie camera for taking selfies and video calling. Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, and a micro-USB 2 port. For security, it features a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear and runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie with Huawei’s EMUI 9 on top. Powering the phone is a 3,020mAh cell with dimensions of 156.28 x 73.5 x 8mm with a weight of 150g.
It seems like there are not many differences between this phone and the Honor Play 8A except for Honor 8A Pro having an on-screen fingerprint scanner and 32GB of internal storage compared to 64GB storage on the Honor 8A Play.
