Some previous reports have already suggested that the Huawei’s sub-brand, honor, is set to launch two additions to its budget smartphone lineups soon. The two devices are speculated to come with the names of Honor 8A and 8A Pro. Before the two’s official launch, the 8A was just spotted with images and specs on TENAA. Now both the Honor devices got certifications from Wi-Fi Alliance. Furthermore, the alleged Honor 8A Pro has just received FCC certification as well, which also revealed the device’s photos.
Regarding the Honor 8A Pro with the model name, JAT-LX3, the FCC certification of the handset shows both its front and back. It also appears that it will have a water-drop notch on the display. The photos also indicate that the device will feature a unibody design, only one camera and also a fingerprint scanner on the rear. That is all we know so far as its detailed specs have not yet revealed.
Some models of the Honor 8A and Honor 8A Pro with model names of JAT-AL00, JAT-L29, JAT-LX1, JAT-LX3, and JAT-L41 have got certifications from Wi-Fi Alliance, but sadly the certification does not reveal many details on the specifications. However, it still indicates that those models will be powered by a MediaTek chip, run Android 9 Pie and support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band.
As per earlier TENAA listing, Honor 8A might come with a 6.08-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a 2.2GHz octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB RAM. The Honor handset is also tipped to feature a 13MP main sensor with a LED flash and an 8MP front camera. There might also be a 2,920 mAh battery under the hood and several color variants, including Red, Gold, Black, and Blue.
Honor has not officially confirmed its plan to release the Honor 8A and 8A Pro. However, they already got certified by several regulatory authority agencies, so they should be launched in the recent future.
