The successor to the last year’s Honor 10, Honor 20 will be unveiled at a launch event on 12 May in London. At this event, the Huawei’s sub-brand is said to announce the Honor 20 and 20 Pro. Another leak further suggests that these two handsets might be launched alongside another cheaper model dubbed Honor 20 Lite. However, the Lite model might be launched at an earlier date while those two will come out on 12 May. Now, the price of the upcoming Honor 20 Lite is now revealed for the German market.
Honor 20 Lite: Expected Specs & Prices
The new leak suggests that the Honor 20 Lite will be offered for €279 (roughly Rs. 21,900) in the German market. The phone might be priced cheaper in other markets. It is also said to officially launch in the Chinese market under the name Honor 20i tomorrow. As for specs, the handset is most likely to come with a 6.21-inch FHD+ LCD panel with a dewdrop notch. Powering the phone is said to be Huawei-made Kirin 710 processor paired with 4GB RAM/128GB of storage while the global model might pack 6GB RAM.
On the imaging front, it is expected to sport a triple camera system on the rear, including a 24MP primary sensor and a secondary 8MP sensor, and a 2MP third shooter. Up front, there should be a 32MP selfie snapper similar to the one on the newly-launched Huawei P30 Pro. Other notable features include a fingerprint scanner on the rear, Android 9.0 Pie-based EMUI 9.0, and a 3,400mAh cell. The Chinese company is also said to plan to launch a limited edition of the Honor 20i in partnership with Japanese clothing brand A Bathing Ape.
Honor 20: Expected Specs
The Honor was just certified by 3C in China with two model numbers of YAL-TL00 and YAL-AL00. The listing on 3C doesn’t reveal any specification but it confirms that the handset will come with a 22.5W fast charger with a model number of HW-050450C01.
According to other rumours, the Honor 20 is tipped to be powered by the most powerful chipset by Huawei, the Kirin 980 chipset. Up front, it sports a 6.4-inch OLED panel with an in-display fingerprint scanner. In terms of camera, reports hint at a triple camera system on the rear with a 48MP primary shooter paired with 20MP and 8MP cameras. Up front, there will likely be a 32MP selfie shooter and a 3,650mAh under the hood.
