Honor 20 With 6GB RAM + Kirin 980 SoC Listed On Geekbench Ahead Of 21 May Launch

The upcoming Honor 20, which is expected to launch on 21 May, appeared on benchmarking site Geekbench with 6GB of RAM and Kirin 980 SoC.

Honor is about to unveil its flagship series, Honor 20, at a launch event on 21 May. Now, ahead of the official launch, the base variant of the Honor 20 with the model number of YAL-L21 on benchmarking site Geekbench, giving some pieces of information that have been previously suggested in old leaks. The Geekbench listing reveals that the handset might run on the Huawei-made Kirin 980 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and ship with Android 9 Pie out of the box with Huawei’s EMUI 9 on top.
In addition, the device achieved scores of 3,241 and 9,706 points in the single and multi-core tests which are expected for a device with the Kirin 980 chipset. The handset is also listed to pack 6GB RAM, but there might be a few more configurations. Previous leaks suggest that the upcoming Honor 20 might pack a 6.26-inch All-view panel and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.6 percent. On the front, there is also a punch hole on its display to house a 32MP selfie camera. On the rear, it’s expected to boast a triple camera system, including a 48MP main camera, a 16MP camera with a super-wide-angle lens, a third 2MP depth sensor.
Alongside the Honor 20, the Chinese company is also expected to announce the Honor 20 Pro at the said event and offers it in three different configurations, including 6GB of RAM / 128GB of storage 8GB of RAM / 128GB of storage, and 8GB of RAM / 256GB of storage. Powering the Pro model is said to be a 3,650 mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging. It will also boast a quad camera system on the back, including a 48MP Sony IMX 586 main camera, a 16MP 117-degree ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8MP camera with a telephoto lens, OIS, and 3X optical zoom, and a 2MP 3D Time-of-Flight camera with an f/2.4 lens.
