Although Honor 20 Pro doesn't have the famous Leica label put near its camera module, the review on DxOMark benchmark shows the device’s high camera performance when it totally 111 scores, matching the OnePlus 7 Pro. There are just two smartphones having higher scores than it which are the Galaxy S10 5G and Huawei P30 Pro.

The Honor 20 Pro’s score is also higher than most of the current flagships in the market. According to the review, the device’s camera offers an amazing dynamic range with the best highlight and shadow preservation on a smartphone and incredible noise and exposure levels. However, the device’s fine detail rendering is just a bit short, which makes its camera not able to rank at a higher spot.

Furthermore, it also gained 97 scores in the video test, matching the Galaxy S10 5G and Huawei P30 Pro. The EIS and OIS combination helps the camera to produce steady photos. In addition, the colors of images are vivid in the dim and bright lighting conditions. And once again, fine detail is again the aspect where Honor needs to work on.

Additionally, autofocus feature (Laser + AF phase detection) of the device was praised in both video and photo modes. Although the Honor 20 Pro does not have a dedicated depth camera, which is different from the base Honor 20, it still offers amazing bokeh images.
For further information, the Honor 20 Pro features a quad rear camera setup including a 48MP main lens, a 16MP ultra-wide angle camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, as well as a 2MP lens. Powering this new handset is Huawei’s Kirin 980 SoC like the Huawei P30 Pro, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Honor View 20. The chipset is paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. Also, the device is backed with a 4,000mAh cell. However, the Honor 20 Pro does not feature an on-screen fingerprint sensor, instead, it is put on the side of the smartphone.
