Honor 20 & Honor 20 Pro With Four Rear Cameras Made Their Debuts In India

Honor has just announced the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro in India. They both come with a quad camera setup at the back and are powered by Kirin 980 SoC.

After launching the Honor 20 series in China earlier, Honor finally brings the series to India. There are three phones in the lineup, including Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, and Honor 20i. While the Honor 20i is launched in the affordable segment, the Honor 20 & 20 Pro are set to compete against the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro that have already made their debuts in India. The two new Honor phones are packed with a similar set of specification like quad rear cameras, Kirin 980 octa-core processor, a hole-punched display, and a large battery.
Honor 20 & 20 Pro: Indian price
The price of the Honor 20 variant with 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage in India is set at Rs. 32,999. It will go on sale from 25 June.
Meanwhile, the more premium Honor 20 Pro is priced at Rs. 39,999. Unlike its sibling, the phone is said to come out ‘soon’ instead of an exact launch date. It will pack 8GB of RAM + 256GB of internal storage.
Honor 20 & 20 Pro: Specifications & Features
While the two share quite a few similarities, they are still different in some aspects like the memory configurations and battery.
Both of the phones come with a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with 2,340 x 1,080p resolution and a punch hole at the top left corner for a selfie camera. Ticking at its core is a Huawei’s Kirin 980 SoC with GPU Turbo 3.0. While the Honor 20 is equipped with 6GB RAM + 128GB of storage, the Pro version pack a higher 8GB of RAM + 256GB of storage.
In terms of camera, both of the phones have a quad camera setup with some differences. The standard Honor 20 sports a 48MP main sensor, a 16MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, the Pro model is equipped with a 48MP main sensor, a 16MP wide-angle camera, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP macro camera with laser autofocus. The cameras of the Honor 20 Pro is rated as one of the best by DxOMark with a score of 111 which is just behind the two powerhouses like Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S10 5G with 112 points. Both of the phones have the same 32MP camera on the front for taking selfies and video chats.
In terms of battery, the Honor 20 is fueled by a 3,750 mAh battery with up to 22.5W fast charging support. The Pro model is stuffed with a large 4,000 mAh battery and support for 22.5W fast charging.
For security, both of them feature a fingerprint sensor on the rear. Other features of the duo are Virtual 9.1 Surround Sound system for better audio output and Google Assistant embedded in their power buttons. Software-wise, they both ship with EMUI 9 which is based on Android 9 Pie at launch. The company has already confirmed that they will not be affected by the recent ban from Google.
