Honor is expected to announce its next flagship series dubbed Honor 20 in the upcoming month on 21 May. The event will take place in London where Honor will announce three models in the Honor 20 series, including the Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro, and also Honor 20 Moschino Edition which is a special edition. With rumors and leaks, we have already had a good understanding of these upcoming phones, including at least triple camera system the rear, Kirin 980 SoC, and also the latest operating software. Now, ahead of their launch, the renders of the two Honor phones have just posted on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The alleged renders reveal not only their camera setup but also their color variants along with several more details.
Honor 20 series: Expected Specs & Features
While the standard model of the Honor 20 will likely come with a triple camera setup, the Honor 20 Pro is said to feature four cameras on the rear which is placed vertically at the top left side of the phone’s rear panel. One of the sensor on the quad camera setup is rumored to be a Time-of-Flight one. Since there is no fingerprint sensor on the rear, it could be either mounted on the front or embedded under the screen. We can also see that there might be a Purple (Twilight) gradient color at the back.
As mentioned, the Honor 20 will come with a triple camera setup which will also be placed vertically. Its rear camera module is nearly identical to the one on the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. It appears that the phone will be offered in three color variants, including Black, Blue, and Breathing Crystal just like the P30 and P30 Pro or it might be just a White color. Similar to the Honor 20, the Pro model is said to have an in-display fingerprint scanner.
In terms of hardware specs, both of the handsets are said to be powered by a Kirin 980 processor coupled with 6/8GB of RAM and probably 64 to 256GB of storage. The phones are also speculated to feature a 48MP main sensor and run EMUI 9.0 that is based on the latest Android 9.0. Additionally, it is fueled by a 3,650mAh cell with support for 22.5W fast charging. Finally, this series is said to be priced from CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 30,700).
