Honor recently released its latest budget phone, Honor 10 Lite, in the Indian market at the price of Rs. 13,999 and that means the handset will have to compete against the likes of ZenFone Max Pro M2 and Redmi Note 6 Pro. All three phones are among the most popular phones in their price range. Therefore, we would like to conduct a comparison to see which phone shines the most on paper.

In the design aspect, the Honor 10 Lite and ZenFone Max Pro M2 have similar glass-finish designs. Besides that, the Asus handset also has Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Meanwhile, Xiaomi uses metal on the back of the Redmi Note 6 Pro, and that makes the handset more resistant to smudges and fingerprints.
Moving to the display department, all of these three phones sport IPS LCD notched displays. The Honor phone comes packed with a 6.21-inch FHD+ display with a 2,340 x 1,080 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. On the other hand, both of the ZenFone Max Pro M2 and Redmi Note 6 Pro sport a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2,280 x 1,080 pixels resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The notches are the difference between these three handsets. While the Honor 10 Lite has a water-drop notch, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 and Redmi Note 6 Pro come with a wider notch.

The Honor 10 Lite is powered by the octa-core 2.2 GHz Kirin 710 SoC, coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128Gb of expandable storage of up to 512GB via a microSD slot.

Meanwhile, the Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Redmi Note 6 Pro are both powered by a Qualcomm processor. The Asus handset comes packed with a Snapdragon 660 processor, paired with 3GB/4GB or 6GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of storage. Lastly, the Redmi Note 6 Pro is powered by a less powerful Snapdragon 636 processor and 4GB or 64GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage.

The Honor 10 Lite is backed with a 3,400 mAh battery while Xiaomi goes for a 4,000 mAh battery on its Redmi Note 6 Pro. The Zenfone Max Pro M2’s battery is even more impressive with a massive 5,000 mAh battery. In the software department, the Asus and Redmi phones run Android 8.1 Oreo-based custom UIs while the Honor 10 Lite runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.

The Honor 10 Lite is priced at Rs. 13,999 in the Indian market for the base variant with 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage. Honor also offers the handset in another option with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for Rs. 17,999. It will be up for sale from 20 January on Honor’s Indian official website and Flipkart.
Meanwhile, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 comes in a total of three storage options. The 3GB of RAM/32GB of storage base variant costs Rs. 12,999 while the option with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage comes with a price of Rs. 14,999. Lastly, the top-end variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is offered at a price of Rs. 16,999.
Rs. 13,999 is the price of the base variant of the Redmi Note 6 Pro with 4GB of RAM while the top-end option with 6GB RAM is priced at Rs. 15,999.
