A reliable source has recently shared a photo of Google Pixel 4 XL, which suggests a bit smaller screen compared to the previous device. Accordingly, the phone will flaunt a 6.23-inch screen with 3,040 x 1,440-pixel resolution, an aspect ratio of 19:9 and a pixel density of 540 ppi. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 855 chipset instead of the newer Plus version.
While Snapdragon 855 and 855 Plus are both flagship chipsets of Qualcomm, the former features enhanced graphics performance and higher clock speed. It could have been great had the company utilized Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset for the Pixel 4 lineup smartphones, but it seems that it will not be the case.
Google Pixel 4 XL specifications
Unlike its predecessor, the 4 XL will get rid of notch design. The handset will come with thick bezels, which is identical to previously-leaked renders on CADS. The phone will not have a chin and speakers on the front. The 4XL and vanilla 4 phones are the first devices in the series to have a screen refresh rate of 90Hz and an additional rear sensor. The 4XL probably arrives with triple rear camera module including a 12MP primary sensor, an ultra-wide sensor, and a 16MP telephoto sensor.
In terms of software, the upcoming Pixel 4 lineup is expected to come with Android 10 preinstalled, and pack 6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. The regular Pixel 4 phone will be fueled by a 2,800 mAh battery while the XL model will sport a 3,700 mAh battery. The series probably arrives as soon as next month at a hardware event of Google. In addition, the phone will be available in at least 4 color options including Teal, Coral, Black and White. Notably, the upcoming Pixel phones will feature enhanced face unlocking and motion-sensing based on Project Soli. However, it is worth noting that it will not work in the Indian market.
