Realme 5 With Snapdragon 665 And 4GB RAM Surfaces On Geekbench

Realme is set to hold an event on 20 August to release its Realme 5 lineup. According to the rumours, the Realme 5 phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 665 SoC which was first found on Xiaomi Mi CC9e exclusively launched in the Chinese market. Additionally, the listing shows that the device will have RMX1911 model number. Also, a listing on Geekbench benchmark reveals that the phone actually comes with a Snapdragon 665 SoC.
Additionally, as per the listing on Geekbench, the phone comes with a chipset mentioned as “trinket”. Before the launch of the Snapdragon 665 SoC powered the Mi CC9e, the device was leaked to have a similar 'trinket named' chipset. The Mi A3 is known as an Android One variant of the CC9e for the global markets, which also features Snapdragon 665 SoC. The Mi A3’s multiple Geekbench listings have 'trinket' name for the chipset.
Additionally, the listing on Geekbench of Realme 5 reveals that the phone’s Snapdragon 665 SoC will be paired with 4GB RAM. And the handset will run the Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. The phone gained 1,525 scores in the single-core test and 5,498 scores in the multi-core test on Geekbench.
The remaining specs of the upcoming Realme 5 series currently remain unknown. The lineup including the vanilla Realme 5 and the Pro variant will be the first devices with the quad-camera setup from the company. The Realme 5 will come with a 16MP primary sensor, a 119-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor, a portrait sensor, and a macro sensor. The device will still have a waterdrop notch display like the Realme 3. And it is tipped to be priced at below Rs. 10,000.
Meanwhile, the Pro variant is tipped to come with a Snapdragon 712 SoC. Realme also confirmed that the quad rear camera up will include a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor. For further information, the company is expected to launch its Realme X Pro phone with 64MP quad rear camera module in October as well.
