Gaming-Centric Nubia Red Magic 3 Goes Official in India: Snapdragon 855 SoC, 12GB RAM, Liquid Cooling

The gaming-focused smartphone Nubia Red Magic 3 finally makes its way to India with a Snapdragon 855 SoC, up to 12GB of RAM, and liquid cooling tech.

Nubia finally brings its latest gaming-focused smartphone Redmi Magic 3 to the Indian market. The phone is the successor to the Red Magic Mars that launched last year. While this new Nubia Red Magic 3 comes with similar LED strip and beveled back to its predecessor, the phone is powered by the more powerful Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor and a display with a 90Hz refresh rate. In addition, the device is also priced aggressive in the Indian market.
Nubia Red Magic 3: Availability & Price
The handset is priced at Rs. 36,999 for the base variant with 8GB of RAM / 128GB of storage. The top-end variant with 12GB of RAM / 256GB of storage will set you back by Rs. 46,999.
There are four color variants, Red, Camouflage, Flame Red, and Black are available for you to purchase from 27 June via Flipkart. Launch offers include no-cost EMI, complete mobile protection, and more.
Along with the handset, the company also launched earphones and game controller for Rs. 2,999, and Rs. 1,999, respectively. It also announced a charging dock for a price of Rs. 2,499.
Nubia Red Magic 3: Specifications & Features
The phone sports a large 6.65-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 90HZ refresh rate and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The company decides to not go for the conventional notch or any sort and goes for slim bezels all around the phone. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, paired with up to 12GB RAM / 256GB of storage. It also features an in-built turbofan and liquid cooling tech that are claimed to boost the heat transfer by up to 500%.
For better gaming experience, Nubia equips it with an additional switch on its side to activate the “Red Magic Game Space 2.0”, which is a gaming-centric dashboard. Users can also customise a touch-sensitive shoulder that is said to work as additional hardware buttons for a gamepad accessory on its left side.
They are also able to organize and also quick launch games, tune fan speeds, performance settings as well as monitor usage stats and temperature in real-time and block notifications.
In terms of camera, the phone comes with a single 48MP Sony IMX 586 camera with an f/1.75 lens and dual-LED flash on the rear. Up front, there is a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and video chats. The entire setup is fueled by a monstrous 5,000 mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging. For software, it ships with Redmagic 2.0 which is based on Android 9 Pie. For security, users can unlock the phone with a fingerprint reader mounted on its back.
