Gaming-Centric Nubia Play 5G Launched With 144Hz Display; Priced At Rs. 26,000

Today (April 22), Nubia has just launched a new mid-range smartphone in China, called Nubia Play 5G. This phone possesses a youthful and unique design, targeting younger users. The handset is also equipped with a powerful hardware configuration for an extremely affordable price.

Nubia Play 5G: Price & Availability
Nubia Play 5G will have three gradient color options: Black, Blue, and White. The phone will be officially up for sales from 24 April with prices starting from CNY 2,399 (around Rs. 26,000) for the model with 6GB of RAM + 128GB of memory.

The 8GB RAM + 128GB memory version costs CNY 2,699 (around Rs. 29,100), while the most advanced version with 8GB RAM + 256GB of memory has a retail price of CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 32,400).
Nubia Play 5G: Specifications & Features
The device is equipped with a 6.65-inch AMOLED screen, supporting Full HD + resolution (1080 x 2340 pixels) and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. This screen has a 144Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, which similar to the gaming-centric Nubia Red Magic 5G.

Inside, Nubia Play 5G has the hardware power from the mid-range Snapdragon 765G processor and Adreno 620 GPU, combined with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage memory.
The back of the Nubia Play 5G has X-shaped gradient patterns (similar to the Honor 9X), with the "5G" logo on the right, the "Nubia" logo at the bottom and the words "Powered by Nubia" on the left. The top half of the back houses a vertically-arranged triple-camera system, along with the fourth sensor being placed on the right and symmetrical with the LED flash.

The rear camera cluster of this phone includes a 48MP Sony IMX582 main sensor with f / 1.8 aperture, 8MP f / 2.2 super wide-angle sensor, 2MP f / 2.4 depth sensor, and 2MP f / 2.4 macro sensor. In addition, the machine also has a 12MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
Nubia Play 5G has integrated buttons on the right edge, which can be assigned as function keys for playing games. Besides, it is also equipped with ICE 2.5 cooling system - a combination of liquid cooling, cooling gel, copper foil, and graphite plate to provide the best gaming experience for users.
Other specifications of Nubia Play 5G include support for SA / NSA dual-mode 5G network, under-display fingerprint sensor, DTS Audio technology, and dual speakers. It comes with a 5,100mAh battery, that can be charged with a 30W fast charger. To take care of the software side of things, the phone comes pre-installed with Android 10 operating system with the Nubia UI 8.0 interface out of the box.
