It seems like Xiaomi’s sub-brand Black Shark finally makes its way to India. The Chinese phone maker has just confirmed that it will launch the first gaming-centric device in the country on 27 May. The first phone to hit the market will be the recently-announced Black Shark 2. The media invites to the launch event for the Black Shark 2 has been out.
Black Shark 2: Expected price
The Black Shark 2 model with 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage is currently priced at RMB 3,200 (around Rs. 32,500) while the price of the 12GB of RAM + 256GB of storage is set at RMB 4,200 (around Rs. 42,700). We expect the price of the device in India will most likely be just as competitive as it will compete against the likes of gaming-focused smartphones from Razer, Nubia, Asus, and more.
It is offered in two color variants, Shadow Black and Frozen Silver and we believe that they will both be available in India as well.
Black Shark 2: Specifications & Features
The gaming-centric phone sports a 6.39-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Its screen is bright and big enough for users to an impressive gaming experience. The device runs on the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with up to 256GB storage and 12GB RAM.
The device comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded under the screen. It is also equipped with a pressure-sensitive system around its display that is claimed to help gamers to map the buttons located on the corners of the screen. It is fueled by a large 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.
For cameras, the handset features a dual camera setup, including a 48MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture. Up front, there is a 20MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and video calling.
