Would you believe it? The next Galaxy S series won't be called Galaxy S11, but Samsung will name it Galaxy S20, including Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra.

So far, the next Galaxy S series from Samsung has mostly been called Galaxy S11. Recently, leakster IceUniverse suggested that the series could be launched under the name Galaxy S20. Now, a new report also claims that the upcoming Galaxy S lineup from the South Korean phone maker will be Galaxy S20 series, instead of the S11 as many would predict. The company hasn’t released any official information about that, but jumping in the numeric naming is not something too strange in the smartphone industry.
This report hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it gives us some interesting details about the upcoming Galaxy S lineup. Reportedly, Samsung will release three models in the series, just like its predecessor S10. However, instead of naming them Galaxy S20e, S20, and S20 Plus; Samsung might also use different names also. The lineup is tipped to include Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra. It is somewhat similar to what Apple did with its latest iPhone 11 series. Instead of releasing an iPhone 11R, the Cupertino-based giant announced the iPhone 11 as the successor to the iPhone XR and named two premium models, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.
In addition, the leak also provides several details about the lineup. The Galaxy S20 will sport a 6.2-inch screen, while the S20+ will pack a larger 6.7-inch screen. As for the S20 Ultra, it will flaunt a massive 6.9-inch screen. However, recent leak screen protectors revealed that these phones would come with very thin bezels, so having a larger display would still be fine.

To recall, the Galaxy S10 lineup arrived in four models, including Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10 5G. However, since the Snapdragon 865 SoC comes with an integrated 5G modem, so Samsung won’t need to launch a separate 5G model anymore.
