Samsung Galaxy M40 Goes Official In India With Snapdragon 675 & ‘Infinity-O’ Display

Samsung finally announces a new offering in the Galaxy M series dubbed Galaxy M40 with a Snapdragon 675 SoC, triple rear cameras, and Infinity-O display.

Samsung finally ends the rumors and leaks by launch the latest addition to the Galaxy M series dubbed Galaxy M40 for the Indian market. The handset is launched as among the affordable phones that come with a hole-punch display or Samsung calls it ‘Infinity-O’ display. Another highlight of the phone is the company’s Screen Sound Casting tech that can turn the whole screen into an earpiece.

The handset is priced at Rs. 19,990 for the variant with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. It is slated to be available for sale from 18 June in the country via Samsung Shop website and Amazon India. It is available in Sweater Blue and Midnight Blue color variants.
Launch offers for the Galaxy M40 include 100% addition on the Rs. 249 as well as Rs. 349 recharges over a ten-month period. Jio users can also get double data for the Rs. 198 pack over a ten-month period as well.
Samsung Galaxy M40: Specifications & Features
The handset comes with a glossy plastic build with a fingerprint scanner at the back and a holographic branding of the company. On the front, it sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a punch hole on the top left corner. It is driven by a mid-range Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor, paired with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage which can be further expanded up to 512GB using a microSD slot. For software, it ships with the company’s OneUI which is based on Android 9.0 Pie
In terms of camera, the new Galaxy M40 sports a triple camera setup on the rear. The setup includes a 32MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a third 5MP depth sensor with. Up front, there is a 16MP camera for selfies and video chats. The cameras are also supported by features such as Hyperlapse mode and super slow-mo video recording. Lastly, it is fueled by a decent 3,500 mAh battery with support for 15W fast charging.
