Samsung is all set to launch a new addition to the Galaxy M series in India dubbed Galaxy M40. The phone is said to make its debut in the country on 11 June with an Infinity-O display. In addition, the South Korean phone maker has already confirmed several major features of the upcoming handset in a listing on Amazon.in. Since Samsung only offers the Galaxy M smartphones via online channels, the Samsung Galaxy M40 will also be distributed via e-commerce site Amazon India and the company’s online store as well. Its price is tipped in another report to be around 288 USD (around Rs. 20,000).
Previously, the full specs of the Galaxy M40 were leaked by Sammobile. On the front, the phone is tipped to sport a 6.3-inch FHD+ Infinity-O display with 1,080 x 2,340p resolution. Inside the punch hole, there is a 16MP camera for taking selfies and video calling. At the rear, it will come with a triple camera setup, including a 32MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP depth sensor.
Under the hood, it is fueled by a 3,500 mAh battery instead of a 5,000 mAh battery as previously tipped. Software-wise, it will ship with the company’s OneUI at launch, which is the first from the series. The first three Galaxy M phones only come with Android 8.1 Oreo-based Experience UI 9.5.
