Samsung finally announced its upper mid-range Galaxy A80 in India. The latest offering in the Galaxy A series will be up for pre-order from 22 to 31 July. To recall, the brand already announced the handset in April with a unique design. It sports a dual camera setup that can rotate on both sides, which helps the handset achieve a nearly bezel-less screen. Other key highlights of the handset include a Super AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, a Snapdragon 730 processor, and a 3,700 mAh battery.

The handset is only available in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for a price of Rs. 47,990. Users can start pre-ordering the device from 22 to 31 July in the country, and those who pre-order can get a one-time display replacement for free. Moreover, buyers pay with Citibank credit cards can also get 5 percent cash back from Samsung.

It will come in Phantom Black, Ghost White, and angle Gold colour variant and go on sale from 1 August. Interested users can buy the phone via the company’s online store, all major retail stores, Samsung Opera House, and leading online channels.
Samsung Galaxy A80: Specifications & Features

The handset sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with an aspect ratio of 20:9. Software-wise, it ships with Android 9 Pie-based One UI to take care of the software side of things. In terms of security, it features an on-screen fingerprint reader for biometric authentication. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor, coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

Moving to the camera aspect, it has a triple camera setup that can rotate both sides. That means it can be used as both rear and selfie cameras. The setup includes a 48MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.0 aperture and 123-degree field of view. The last camera in the setup is a 3D ToF camera. Whenever you select the selfie mode, the camera will slide up and rotate to the front. Finally, it is fueled by a 3,700 mAh battery with 25W fast charging solution.
