Samsung Galaxy A71 will be a remarkable mid-range smartphone. Recently, the design of the Galaxy A71 has been revealed. It shows that this smartphone has a rather large rectangular rear camera cluster, and the hole-punch screen is nearly identical to that of the Galaxy Note 10.
Following in the footsteps of the high-end Galaxy Note 10, the Galaxy A71 also has a 6.7-inch Infinity-O AMOLED screen with a small cut-out in the top center. However, because the Galaxy A71 will be positioned in the mid-range segment, it is unlikely to feature a curved display like the S-series or Note-series.
If you compare the front of the Galaxy A71 with its predecessor Galaxy A70, you can see that there is not much difference. Samsung just replaced the U-shaped notch, with a small cut-out that is not connected to the top edge of the smartphone. However, on the back, it is a completely different story.
The typical vertical camera setup of the Galaxy A series smartphones has been replaced by a much larger and wider rectangular module, combined with the L-shaped layout for the four rear cameras.
According to leaked sources, the Galaxy A71 will have a 48MP main sensor, a 12MP wide-angle camera, a 12MP telephoto camera and a ToF sensor. The LED flash is also placed in the rectangular module. Also the selfie camera will have 32MP resolution.
The back of the Galaxy A71 is slightly beveled at the sides for a more comfortable grip. The bottom edge has USB-C port, external speaker and 3.5mm jack. The left side has the SIM tray, while the right side has the volume rocker and the power button. There will be an in-display fingerprint reader on the front.
Although it has not been confirmed, the Galaxy A71 is likely to be launched by Samsung at the MWC 2020 event, taking place at the end of February. Expected price in Europe is 400 EUR (around Rs. 31,500).
