Lots of details about the Galaxy A51 have surfaced online recently, and that suggests its launch should be just around the corner. The handset passed through the Wi-Fi Alliance database a few days ago, and now it is approved by the South Korean government’s research institute. The battery of the Galaxy A51 is revealed to carry model number EB-BG891ABA and 4,000mAh capacity, which is the same capacity as the Galaxy A50 & Galaxy A50s. Other than that, the listing does not give us anything else about the Galaxy A51. This news arrives shortly after its render revealing a hole-punch display, quad rear camera cluster, and curved edge design.
In terms of design, we already knew that the volume rocker and the power button of the phone are located on its right spine, while the left side houses a SIM tray. At the bottom, there are a speaker grill, a headphone jack, and a USB-C port. For security, it might come with an on-screen fingerprint sensor. With a hole-punch design, its bezels on the front are quite thin. On the rear, its quad-camera cluster is stacked in a rectangle-shaped module. Three sensors are placed vertically on the right side of the module, while there are a sensor and an LED flash on the right side.
Galaxy A51: Expected specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A51 will likely feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a small cut-out to house a selfie camera. Under the hood, there should be a Samsung’s Exynos 9611 chipset ticking at its core with 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage, according to the Geekbech listing. For software, the listing on the Wi-Fi Alliance website suggested that the handset would come with Android 10 pre-installed.
Camera-wise, its quad-camera cluster at the back will include a 48MP main sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, a 12M wide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth-sensing camera. On the front, there should be a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.
