Galaxy A30e Made Its Appearance On Geekbench

A few months after announcing the Galaxy A30, South Korean phone maker Samsung is reportedly planning to launch a new model of the handset dubbed Galaxy A30e. A new phone just appeared on Geekbench with model number SM-A307FN that is said to be the upcoming Galaxy A30s. The standard Galaxy A30 carried the model number SM-A305, it’s legitimate to assume that this new phone will be a new model of the Galaxy A30.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Samsung mobile with SM-A307FN model number boots Android 9.0 Pie and it is driven by an octa-core processor, coupled with 3GB RAM. The processor listed here should be the Samsung’s Exynos 7885 SoC, but we believe that the Galaxy A30s will instead come with an Exynos 7904 SoC that is used on the Galaxy A30.

The reason we think that is because the Galaxy A30 was also once listed with an Exynos 7885 SoC, but it ended up with the Exynos 7904 chipset. The Galaxy A30e achieves 1,322 and 4,116 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, according to Geekbench listing and that is pretty much in the same level as the Galaxy A30.

With this new phone having nearly the same specs as the Galaxy A30, it is hard to figure out the differences between the two. However, there should be some changes in the upcoming phone.

To recall, the regular Galaxy A30 was launched with a 6.4-inch display and an Exynos 7904 processor. The Samsung Galaxy A30e should come with a smaller display and lower battery capacity. The brand already did this with its Galaxy A20 launched in the Asia-Pacific region, while it brought the Galaxy A20e to Europe with the same differences as mentioned.

The Galaxy A30 made its way to India in February for a price of Rs. 16,990. Its current price is cut down to Rs. 15,490. However, the Galaxy A30e hasn't hit the market yet.
