It is now confirmed that Realme will pack its upcoming Realme 5s with a Snapdragon 665 SoC, alongside a triple rear camera & a 5,000mAh battery.

As the Realme 5s launch is getting closer, more specs about the handset keep surfacing online. The phone is slated to launch in India on 20 November and now pretty much all of its specs are revealed. The upcoming Realme 5s will come with a Snapdragon 665 chipset, the same one used on the Realme 5. This detail was updated on the handset’s listing on Flipkart. The photo (desktop version) shows that the handset will feature a Snapdragon 655 processor, which hasn’t been announced yet. However, it seems that is just a typo mistake as the video on the same listing and also the photo on the mobile version show that the device will have a Snapdragon 665 instead.

The Realme 5s has already been confirmed to arrive as the latest affordable phone from the Chinese brand. It will most likely be positioned between the Realme 5 & Realme 5 Pro in India. Moreover, the Realme 5s will still feature a diamond-cut design, a 48MP quad rear camera cluster, and a 6.51” HD+ screen with a water-drop notch on top. The camera setup on the 5s should be the same as its sibling, which includes a 48MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, a 2MP dedicated macro lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.

Details regarding its selfie camera are still missing at the moment. However, we believe that it should carry a 32MP resolution. Powering the device will likely be a massive 5,000 mAh battery with Android 9 Pie pre-installed to take care of the software side of things. Price-wise, it might be retailed around Rs.12,000 mark for its entry-level variant. Blue, Purple, and Red are the hues expected for the Realme 5s. Finally, Flipkart will be one of the platforms to purchase the handset in the country.

Aside from the Realme 5s, the former Oppo’s sub-brand is also expected to announce its first flagship Realme X2 Pro at the launch event alongside a few accessories.
