The Redmi Pro 2 and aother Redmi flagship share the same Snapdragon 855 SoC, but the Redmi Pro 2 has a smaller 3,600mAh battery.

Redmi is planning to add a new addition to its mobile portfolio with a new flagship device packing a powerful Snapdragon 855 SoC. The smartphone in question could be launched under the name Redmi Pro 2. Now, a Chinese leakster has just posted a new spec sheet that might belong to the handset. Interestingly, Xiaomi is also planning to launch another flagship device with the same Snapdragon 855 SoC. However, while the Redmi Pro 2 comes with a 3,600mAh battery, the other Redmi flagship bears a large 4,000 mAh battery.

Redmi Pro 2's spec sheet

The Redmi Pro 2 and the Redmi Note 7 will reportedly feature nearly identical design to each other. However, while the Redmi Note 7 has a water-drop notch on the top of its display, the Redmi Pro 2 will likely sport a full-screen display thanks to the pop-up selfie camera. However, the handset still has rather thick chin and bezels but it’s still not a huge issue as Redmi is likely to apply a very aggressive pricing for this phone and it should be much lower than other flagships.

Its display might have 6.39 inches in size and a Full-HD+ resolution. It is tipped to be protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 along with a fingerprint reader embedded under the screen. On the rear, there will be a triple camera system, including a 48MP primary camera. Powering the phone will be a 3,600mAh battery with 27W fast charging support. In addition, it will still have an IR port that is favored by a lot of users.

Meanwhile, the other Redmi flagship is tipped to come with the same Snapdragon 855 SoC and other similar features like the pop-up selfie camera and in-display fingerprint scanner. However, this device will boast a large 4,000 mAh battery compared to the 3,600mAh cell of the Redmi Pro 2.

The Redmi Pro 2 will come in three color variants which are Black, Blue, and Red and it will go official pretty soon.
