Vivo is scheduled to unveil its first smartphone in the S series dubbed Vivo S1 in the Indian market. Presently, the initial teaser photo of the phone appeared online. The teaser image confirmed the handset name and some information about its design.
Typically, the photo is in line with a teaser that was shared by Vivo in Indonesia for a phone by a similar name. It is worth noting that the Vivo S1 in the Chinese market is, in fact, a rebranded version of Vivo V15 that already launched in the Indian market. Therefore, the Vivo in India and China will share no similarities. And although the teaser photo does not reveal the official launch date in India for the phone, it suggests the phone should be unveiled soon.
According to the teaser, the phone will come with a triple rear camera setup. However, the camera setup’s design of the device will not be similar to the version in India. Regarding the other specs, the device comes with 2 memory variants including 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. While the former is expected to cost under Rs. 20,000, the latter is priced at below Rs. 25,000. And the device will only be sold online to take on the likes of Xiaomi, Realme, Samsung, and others.
The teaser photo posted by Vivo Indonesia shows a similar camera setup on the back like the teaser in India. Also, it reveals that the phone features a dewdrop notch, an on-screen fingerprint sensor, a 32MP selfie sensor, and two color options. This device will be unveiled in Indonesia on 16 July, so we will soon know all the specs of the Vivo S1.
Typically, Vivo has recently introduced the first device with a hole-punch display dubbed Vivo Z1 Pro in the Indian market. The smartphone is an affordable offering priced from Rs. 14,990 on Vivo’s e-store and Flipkart.
