Update: Apparently, Samsung made a mistake in the Galaxy A01 specs listing. It turns out the phone only packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, not 8GB RAM and 128GB storage as we have previously reported. The correct details have been fixed on the official listing of the phone on Samsung's website.
Recently, Samsung is focusing quite strongly on the mid-range Galaxy A series with the appearance of two new smartphones, Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51. This is a traditional product line of Samsung with smartphones from low to mid-range, equipped with some features that make the phone stand out from other budget smartphones.

And the Galaxy A01 is a prime example of this "stand out feature" on Samsung's budget smartphone line. Specifically, this new smartphone was introduced by Samsung today on its homepage. Nothing too outstanding in terms of design, the device is finished from plastic and owns a "water-drop" screen, 720p resolution.
There isn't anything special about the hardware configurations of the Galaxy A01. It comes equipped with an octa-core chip clocked at 1.95 GHz, accompanied by 2 of RAM and 16GB of storage.

Galaxy A01 is equipped with dual 13MP + 2MP cameras on the back, 5MP selfie camera. The included battery has a capacity of 3000mAh. The smartphone supports dual sims and a dedicated MicroSD card slot. Security-wise, it doesn’t support either Face Unlock or fingerprint sensor.
Galaxy A01 will be sold with 3 color options: Black, Blue, and Red. Samsung has yet announced the price of this phone and which markets it will bring the phone to. Given the specs and market positioning, we expect to see the handset in the sub-Rs. 10,000 price range.
