You might not be familiar with Coolpad in the smartphone industry but it used to one of the top smartphone makers in China. However, it still releases affordable smartphones that are quite popular in the US market. Now, it has just announced one of the most affordable 5G smartphones available in the market at CES 2020. The mid-range phone is called Coolpad Legacy 5G with a price tag of below $400 (around Rs. 28,600).

Coolpad Legacy 5G: Price & Availability
The Coolpad Legacy 5G price hasn’t been revealed yet, but it is tipped to carry a price of below $400 (around Rs. 28,600) and will go on sale in the second quarter of this year. You can either purchase the phone via Amazon or the company’s website in the US.
As for the Coolpad Legacy 5G price in India, we don’t have any details about that but we will keep you updated as soon as new information comes out. However, if it does arrive in India, its price should be much lower since the Redmi K30 5G price in India is expected to be around Rs. 20,000.
Coolpad Legacy 5G: Specifications & Features
The mid-range 5G smartphone comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with Full-HD+ resolution and a dewdrop notch. Despite being an IPS LCD panel, the display still supports HDR10. Around the back, it gets a dual-camera setup mounted on a glass panel with a feather-like design. The setup is stacked vertically with an LED flash and includes a 48MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera. On the front, there is a 16MP camera for selfies and video chats. The back panel of the device is also mounted with a fingerprint sensor for biometric security. Aside from that, users can also use the Face Unlock feature to unlock the phone.
Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 765G chipset, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It also has a microSD card slot to expand its storage up to 128GB. For connectivity, it supports the sub-6GHz 5G network, which is said to be not as fast as 5G networks with mmWave. On the software side of things, it ships with Android 10 pre-installed with monthly security updates. The whole package is fueled by a 4,000 mAh battery that can be charged with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 via a USB-C port. At the bottom, there is also a headphone jack with audio tuning by THX.
