The Black Shark 3 is tipped to be the next gaming-centric smartphone from Xiaomi. Recently, it bagged certification by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) with the model number KLE-A0. The certification revealed that the upcoming Black Shark 3 will come with dual-mode 5G connectivity support. According to previous rumors, the handset might make its debut as early as next month. Now, a series of leaks have just surfaced online, giving us several key specs of the phone, including a 120Hz display with Quad-HD+ resolution. The device will reportedly come with a dedicated option to lower the screen resolution from Quad-HD+ to FHD+ and that might be good if you want to lower the battery consumption and increase battery life.

Separately, tipster @Sudhansu114 went on Twitter saying that the Black Shark 3 might be the first smartphone to come with a whopping 16GB of RAM. For now, the highest amount of RAM on any smartphone is 12GB and many would say that 16GB RAM might be too much even for a gaming-centric smartphone. In addition, the handset is tipped to come with the recently-released Snapdragon 865 chipset. Aside from that, we also expect to see improvements in the camera and performance department. We might see more gaming modes to further enhance its gaming performance. Moreover, the battery capacity should also be increased since the phone is tipped to pack 120Hz display and support dual-mode 5G connectivity, both of which will boost the battery consumption significantly.
Sadly, these are all the details we have got about the Black Shark 3 for now, but there should be more information surfacing online in the near future.
