Black Shark 2 Launched In India With Snapdragon 855 & 12GB RAM

Xiaomi's sub-brand Black Shark finally brings its latest gaming-centric smartphone Black Shark 2 to India with a Snapdragon 855 SoC and up to 12GB of RAM.

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Black Shark already announced its new gaming-centric smartphone dubbed Black Shark 2 in China. Now, the Chinese brand finally brings the phone to India. As the successor to the Black Shark Helo, this gaming-centric smartphone sports an almost bezel-less display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The handset also comes with quite a few new techs like TrueView Display, Liquid Cool 3.0, Magic Press, Snapdragon Elite Gaming, and more.
Black Shark 2: Price

The handset is priced at Rs. 39,999 for the variant with 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage. You can also buy the top-end variant with a whopping 12GB of RAM + 256GB of storage for Rs. 49,999. Flipkart will be the exclusive distributor for the Black Shark 2 in the Indian market and it will go on sale from 12 pm on 4 June.
Black Shark 2: Specs & Features
The gaming-centric smartphone sports a 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED TrueView panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 108.9 percent DCI P3 color gamut, 60,000:1 contrast ratio, 430 nit brightness, and 60Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC, paired with up to 12GB RAM. It features Snapdragon Elite technology will work as an anti-cheating measure on the phone. For storage, it packs 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage.

In terms of camera, the gaming-centric device sports a dual camera setup, including a 48MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture, autofocus, and 6P lens. The main camera is accompanied by a 12MP secondary snapper with am f/2.2 lens. Up front, it comes with a 20MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and 5P lens. Powering the phone is a large 4,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support.

For better thermal management, Xiaomi equips the phone with Liquid Cool 3.0 cooling system which can reduce the core temperature of the device up to 14 degrees. As mentioned, it also has Magic Press pressure-sensitive technology, which allows users to customize pressure sensitivity on the display to deliver better control while playing games. For biometric security, it features an on-screen fingerprint reader embedded under its display.
Users can also play games with the GamePad 2.0 controllers in the country. In addition, gamers can watch other people’s streams with the Live Stream Mode or host a live stream with the Host Mode.
