Realme U1
The Realme U1 is probably the best one that you could get for Rs. 15,000 and it was launched at the end of last year as a selfie-focused phone. It sports a 25MP selfie camera placed inside a dewdrop notch on the front. Its selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture and a 0.9µm pixels. Despite having a not really wide lens, the handset is still able to capture a decent amount of details and its photography in low-light conditions is also pretty good.
The handset packs a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a 2,340 x 1,080p resolution and a water-drop on top. It is powered by an MTK Helio P70 chipset, paired with 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB of storage. As mentioned, it comes with a 25MP selfie camera on the front with f/2.0 aperture. On the rear, there is a dual camera setup with a 12MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Samsung Galaxy M30
The Galaxy M30 is in the revamped Galaxy M series from Samsung. The handset features a metal unibody design as well as triple cameras on the rear. Its Honor 10 Lite, which launched in India recently, is a phone that targets the users who are interested in taking selfies. The handset comes with a 24MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0, 0.9µm pixels, and 26mm wide focal length. The camera also supports 1080p video recording @30fps and HDR mode as well.
It packs a 6.21-inch FHD+ panel with 1,080 x 2,340p resolution and a dewdrop notch on the front housing the 24MP selfie camera. Powering the phone is a Huawei’s Kirin 710 SoC paired with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage. At the back, there is a dual camera system including a 13MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It also has a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear for security and a 3,400mAh battery with 10W fast charging support. Xiaomi Redmi Y3
Xiaomi specifically develops the Redmi Y series as a selfie-centric offering to its users. Despite having a very aggressive pricing, the Redmi Y3 comes with a 32MP selfie camera with a Samsung GD1 sensor, similar to the mid-range Vivo V15. The front camera is supported by features like Auto HDR, AI Beautify, Super Pixel for low-light photography, Palm Shutter for taking shake-free selfies, AI Portrait Selfies. You can also take wide group selfies with the 80-degree field of view.
As mentioned, the selfie-centric device comes with a 32MP selfie camera with a Samsung GD1 sensor, similar to the mid-range Vivo V15. The handset sports a 6.22 HD+ display with 1,522 x 720p resolution and a water-drop notch housing the selfie camera. It runs on a Snapdragon 439 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. At the back, there is a dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner. The camera setup includes a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It is backed by a large 4,030 mAh battery but no fast charging support. Lastly, it ships with FuntouchOS v4.5 based on the dated Android 8.1 Oreo.
Its sole variant with 4GB RAM/64GB storage is currently priced at Rs. 14,990 in India.
