The handset comes with a 24MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.0, 0.9µm pixels, and 26mm wide focal length. The camera also supports 1080p video recording @30fps and HDR mode as well.
It packs a 6.21-inch FHD+ panel with 1,080 x 2,340p resolution and a dewdrop notch on the front housing the 24MP selfie camera. Powering the phone is a Huawei’s Kirin 710 SoC paired with 3GB/4GB/6GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage. Xiaomi specifically develops the Redmi Y series as a selfie-centric offering to its users. The handset sports a 6.22 HD+ display with 1,522 x 720p resolution and a water-drop notch housing the selfie camera. It runs on a Snapdragon 439 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. At the back, there is a dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner. The camera setup includes a 13MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. It is backed by a large 4,030 mAh battery but no fast charging support. Lastly, it ships with FuntouchOS v4.5 based on the dated Android 8.1 Oreo.
Its sole variant with 4GB RAM/64GB storage is currently priced at Rs. 14,990 in India.
